Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated MSK Physiotherapist to join a busy NHS Musculoskeletal Outpatient Service in East London on a full-time locum basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based assessment and treatment for a diverse MSK caseload while working within an established MDT.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive MSK assessments and formulate effective, patient-centred treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based interventions including exercise therapy, manual therapy, and patient education.
• Independently manage and prioritise a full outpatient caseload in line with NHS pathways.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with HCPC and NHS standards.
• Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, AHP support workers, advanced practitioners, and wider MDT colleagues.
• Actively contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and audit where required.

Person Specification

Essential:

• HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
• Previous NHS experience within an MSK outpatient setting (Band 6 level).
• Strong clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice skills.
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently.
• Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
• Available to start as soon as possible.

Desirable:

• Experience with MSK triage or FCP-style roles.
• Experience supporting junior staff or students.
