We’re supporting a leading New Zealand allied health and rehabilitation provider to hire Psychologists into established rehabilitation services. These roles focus on injury rehabilitation, chronic pain, vocational rehab and community-based psychological services, working closely within MDT settings.
Job Title: Psychologist – Rehabilitation & Chronic Pain
Location: New Zealand (North & South Island )
Hours: Full time, Monday–Friday (part time considered)
Start Date: Within 2–6 months
Salary: $80,500 – $109,000 NZD (dependent on experience and location)
Incentives: Additional monthly remuneration based on performance metrics

You’ll work with adults with a broad range of rehabilitation needs, completing psychological and functional assessments, providing clinical recommendations, and supporting people to improve independence, adjustment to injury, and return-to-work outcomes.
Typical responsibilities include:
Completing comprehensive psychological assessments and formulation
Delivering evidence-based psychological interventions within a rehab framework
Managing a varied adult caseload (injury rehab, chronic pain, neuro and adjustment work)
Producing clear written and verbal assessment summaries and recommendations
Working as part of a wider MDT and contributing to rehabilitation planning and outcomes
To be considered, you will need:
Experience working in rehabilitation, pain, or injury-related psychology
Confidence managing a varied adult rehabilitation caseload
Eligibility for registration with the New Zealand Psychologists’ Board
3+ years post-qualification experience in a NHS or equivalent regulated clinical setting
Willingness to travel between service locations as required
NZ registration in process or already obtained (preferred, but not essential for the right profile)
A clear commitment to relocate to New Zealand within 2–6 months
