Job Title: Independent Prescriber Locum Pharmacist
Location: Remote (Service based in Surrey)
Duration: 6-month contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time – 9am-5pm (30 minutes lunch)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 6 months from start
Rate of Pay: £35–£40 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join our team as an Independent Prescribing Locum Pharmacist and play a key role in supporting a busy GP surgery remotely. You will:
Conduct structured medication reviews and long-term condition clinics
Manage minor ailments and hypertension cases
Prescribe independently in line with clinical guidance
Work on EMIS or SystmOne to document and manage patient care
Collaborate with the wider MDT to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Deliver services in line with CPPE Primary Care Pathway requirements
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
GPhC registration as a Pharmacist and Independent Prescriber qualification
Prior experience in a GP surgery or primary care setting
Competence in using EMIS or SystmOne
Confidence in managing minor ailments, medication reviews, hypertension, and long-term conditions
Completion of the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway
Access to a laptop and secure setup for remote work
Strong clinical, communication, and time management skills
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This is a fully remote, full-time locum role (Monday to Friday), offering flexibility where possible. The initial contract is for 6 months with potential for extension based on service needs.
