Join our team as a Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist and play a key role in supporting neurodiverse young people in a brand-new specialist school. The school delivers a mainstream curriculum in a specialist setting, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
In this role, you will:
Perform detailed assessments to identify strengths and support needs
Develop and implement personalised therapy programmes to enable access to learning
Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote independence and participation
Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and wider multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation in line with professional standards
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A current and valid HCPC registration
Experience working with neurodiverse children and young people (ASD, ADHD, sensory processing needs, etc.)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school setting
A passion for supporting young people to thrive in education and beyond
This role offers a full-time locum position (Monday–Friday) with flexibility where possible. The contract is for 12 months, with a strong possibility of extension depending on service needs.
