Locum MMT Pharmacy Technician – NHS Hospital – Cambridgeshire – Mental Health Wards
Hunter AHP have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced MMT pharmacy technician to join a specialist NHS hospital in Cambridgeshire. This role is focused within mental health wards, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in patient care.
The trust is looking for a pharmacy technician confident in ward-based duties, particularly ordering medication, completing medicines reconciliation, and resolving medication-related issues directly with clinical staff.
This is a full-time locum role, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, with no weekend working required. The ideal candidate will have prior NHS hospital experience, especially in ward-based or mental health settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out medicines reconciliation on admission
Ordering medications for mental health wards
Liaising with ward teams to resolve medication queries
Supporting safe and effective medicines use across the service

Location: Cambridgeshire
Setting: Mental health wards (inpatient)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Rate: £20 – £25 per hour (via umbrella)
Requirements:
GPhC-registered pharmacy technician
Hospital or mental health ward experience preferred
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
