Locum Clinical Pharmacist – NHS Hospital – Hertfordshire
Hertfordshire | £27–£36 per hour | Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Hunter AHP have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a supportive NHS hospital pharmacy team in Hertfordshire.
This is an ongoing contract with the potential to become permanent following review. The service is looking for a full-time pharmacist (37.5 hours per week) to start as soon as possible.
Key Details:
Band 7 and Band 8a roles available, depending on experience
Applicants must have clinical NHS hospital experience
A great opportunity to work in a collaborative, well-resourced pharmacy department
Duties will include:
Providing clinical pharmacy support to inpatient wards
Completing medicines reconciliation on admission and discharge
Reviewing inpatient medication for appropriateness and safety
Liaising with medical and nursing staff to optimise prescribing
Supporting discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
Delivering advice and education to patients on medication use
Supporting junior pharmacy staff and contributing to MDT meetings
Documenting interventions and contributing to audit and governance activities
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Ongoing
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (37.5 hours per week)
Hourly Rate: £27 – £36 per hour (DOE)
