Schedule: Full time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 6 months from start date (extension possible)

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join our team as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist and play a key role in supporting adults with complex needs in a community/local authority setting. In this role, you will:
Perform comprehensive assessments of need with clients of various disabilities
Create and implement personalised care and adaptation plans
Deliver evidence-based interventions, including major adaptations and specialist equipment provision
Complete DFG applications and manual handling assessments
Collaborate effectively with multi-agency professionals to ensure holistic care
Maintain accurate and timely records on electronic social care systems
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A current and valid HCPC registration
Substantial local authority experience
Proven expertise in assessing for major adaptations and DFG applications
Strong skills in manual handling techniques and equipment assessments
Familiarity with Integrated Community Equipment Services (ICES) systems
Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills
The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This full-time role requires availability Monday to Friday. The contract is for an initial 6 months, with strong potential for extension based on service needs and performance.
