Band 7 Locum Pharmacist – NHS Hospital – Bath


Ward-Based Role | Flexible Schedule | Long-Term Contract

Hunter AHP have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Locum Clinical Pharmacist to join the team at a well-regarded NHS Hospital in Bath. This role offers flexibility on working days, making it ideal for pharmacists seeking either part-time or full-time locum work.

 

Key Role Details:

  • Position: Band 7 Locum Pharmacist

  • Location: NHS Hospital, Bath

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Contract: Ongoing – long-term opportunity

  • Schedule: 3, 4, or 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), 9:00am – 5:00pm

  • Rate: £28 – £33 per hour (DOE)

  • Payment: Weekly, every Friday

  • Agency: Hunter AHP

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services across a range of inpatient wards (medical, surgical, elderly care, etc.)

  • Complete medication reviews, medicines reconciliation, and support discharge planning

  • Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to medical and nursing staff

  • Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medicines in line with Trust policies

  • Monitor drug therapies and intervene when necessary to improve patient outcomes

  • Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings as required

  • Assist in the supervision or mentoring of junior pharmacy staff or trainees

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • GPhC-registered Pharmacist

  • Previous experience working in NHS hospitals (Band 6 or Band 7 level)

  • Strong clinical knowledge across multiple specialties

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
