Hunter AHP have a fantastic opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at a respected NHS Hospital in Surrey. This is a flexible locum role with the potential to become permanent, ideal for pharmacists seeking ward-based hospital experience in a supportive clinical environment.
Position: Band 7 Locum Pharmacist
Location: NHS Hospital, Surrey
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Ongoing with option to go permanent
Availability: 3, 4 or 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)
Working Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Hourly Rate: £28 – £33 per hour (DOE)
Payment: Weekly, every Friday

Provide clinical pharmacy services across a range of inpatient wards, including medical, surgical, and elderly care
Conduct medicines reconciliation, clinical screening, and drug chart reviews
Offer expert pharmaceutical advice to medical and nursing teams
Assist with discharge planning and patient counselling
Monitor and optimise drug therapy to ensure patient safety and efficacy
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support best practice in medicines use
Support and supervise junior pharmacists and technicians as needed
Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC
NHS hospital experience at Band 6 or Band 7 level preferred
Strong clinical knowledge and ward-based experience
Excellent communication and teamworking skills
Able to start ASAP and commit to an ongoing role
