Job Description:
Hunter AHP is seeking an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Therapies team within an acute setting at Aintree Hospital. This is an ongoing role focused on supporting DMOPS and Medicine wards, playing a key part in patient assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake timely and comprehensive physiotherapy assessments across DMOPS and Medicine wards
Determine patient discharge readiness and required physiotherapy interventions
Carry out parallel planning to support efficient patient flow
Develop, implement, and monitor individualised exercise and rehabilitation programmes
Work collaboratively with hospital teams, community services, and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT)
Support timely patient flow and safe discharge processes
Requirements:
HCPC registered Physiotherapist
Previous Band 6 experience within an acute NHS setting
Strong experience working on medical wards / DMOPS
Excellent communication and MDT working skills
Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
Contract Type: Ongoing
Pay Rate: £26 per hour
