• Job Title: Mental Health Pharmacist (Band 7/8a)
• Location: Manchester – Hospital Based
• Duration: 6 Months
• Schedule: 3, 4 or 5 days per week, 9:00am – 5:00pm (30 mins lunch)
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing (6-month contract)

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our client's team as a Mental Health Pharmacist and play a key role in supporting patients within an NHS hospital setting. In this role, you will:

• perform comprehensive patient assessments on mental health wards
• support medicines optimisation for psychiatric patients
• provide clinical screening and advice on prescriptions
• collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care
• contribute to safe and effective medication use within the service
• assist with inpatient dispensary duties where required

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• current and valid GPhC registration
• prior NHS hospital experience (mental health experience desirable)
• pharmacists with physical health experience will be considered at Band 7 level if keen to gain MH experience
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a flexible working position with availability for 3, 4 or 5 days per week. The contract is for 6 months, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
