The Role

Hunter Gatherer AHP are recruiting for an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team in South East Wales!

You’ll work across the health board delivering specialist occupational therapy services to children and young people throughout Glamorgan. This is a varied community role, working across clinics, schools, nurseries and patients’ homes.

You’ll manage a complex paediatric caseload, carrying out specialist assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions for children with disabilities and developmental needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced therapist looking for a rewarding locum position with flexible working options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex paediatric caseload across community settings.

  • Complete specialist assessments and deliver occupational therapy interventions.

  • Work across clinics, schools, nurseries and home visits.

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and deliver safe, autonomous practice.

  • Provide leadership and support to junior staff and therapy assistants.

  • Supervise Occupational Therapy students.

  • Work collaboratively with health, education, social care and voluntary sector partners.

  • Contribute to service development and ongoing CPD.

Requirements

  • HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.

  • Previous NHS Paediatric Occupational Therapy experience.

  • Experience managing complex paediatric caseloads.

  • Community experience desirable.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
