We’re recruiting a Band 6/7 Pharmacist to join a busy hospital pharmacy service in Cambridge from November.

The position will be predominantly dispensary-based, supporting the safe and efficient supply of medicines to hospital inpatients. Typical responsibilities will include:

• Clinical screening and checking inpatient prescriptions
• Dispensing and accuracy checking medication
• Discharge medication / TTOs
• Medicines reconciliation and resolving prescription queries
• Liaising with pharmacy technicians, dispensary staff and clinical teams
• Ensuring medicines are supplied safely and within appropriate turnaround times
• Supporting the wider day-to-day running of the hospital dispensary

Community Pharmacists encouraged to apply.

Previous hospital experience would be beneficial but isn't essential. The service is open to experienced community pharmacists looking to make their first move into hospital pharmacy, making this a great opportunity to gain NHS/hospital experience.

Applicants must be GPhC registered and confident working within a busy dispensary environment.

The ideal commitment is Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, although candidates able to offer 4 regular days per week may also be considered.

November start with a minimum 3-month contract and potential for further extension.
