Band 5 Locum Pharmacy Technician – NHS Hospital, Kent
We’re currently seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician with an ACT qualification to join the pharmacy department at a well-established NHS hospital in Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexibility, excellent pay, and a chance to work in a collaborative team.
Position: Locum Pharmacy Technician (Band 5)

Contract Type: Ongoing

Working Hours: Choose from 3 to 5 days per week – tailor your schedule!
Pay Rate: £15 – £20 per hour (based on experience)

What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services across the hospital. Responsibilities include:
Accurately dispensing prescriptions and medicines
Performing final accuracy checks (ACT duties)
Assisting with medicine supply, stock rotation, and inventory control
Supporting the wider pharmacy team in clinical service delivery
Maintaining up-to-date patient medication records
Liaising with clinical staff to promote safe and effective medicine use
What You’ll Need:
✔ Current GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician
✔ ACT (Accuracy Checking Technician) accreditation – essential
✔ NHS or hospital-based experience preferred
✔ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
✔ Strong team player with good communication skills
✔ Able to manage responsibilities independently
