Customer Services Advisor / Admin Assistant – NHS Outpatient Dispensary – Near Sunderland

Are you an experienced Administrator or Customer Services professional looking for your next locum opportunity? We have an excellent opportunity to join an NHS outpatient dispensary service supporting patients receiving homecare medicines.

Job Title: Customer Services Advisor / Admin Assistant
Location: Near Sunderland
Duration: Initially 4 weeks (with potential to extend)
Schedule: 4 days per week (flexible) or 5 shorter days per week
Hours: Between 8:30am – 6:00pm
Rate of Pay: £16.00 – £17.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Start Date: ASAP
Parking: Free on-site parking

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Answering inbound patient calls and making outbound calls
  • Confirming patients' next medication doses
  • Arranging home delivery dates for medicines
  • General administrative duties including filing prescriptions
  • Printing prescriptions and maintaining accurate records
  • Using internal PC systems to support the dispensary team

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous administration or customer service experience
  • Confident telephone manner with excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills and comfortable using computer systems
  • Organised with strong attention to detail
  • Healthcare experience is welcomed but not essential
