Position Overview:
Job Title: Biomedical Scientist – Haematology (Band 6)
Location: North West England
Contract Length: Minimum 6 months
Start Date: June start
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday
Hours: Core hours, some flexibility around start/finish times
Pay Rate: Competitive DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Blood film morphology review / reading films
• Haematology morphology assessment and interpretation
• Supporting and training newer members of staff
• Specialist morphology-focused duties

Requirements & Qualifications:

• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist
• Band 6 level Haematology experience
• Strong experience in blood film morphology review / film reading (1 – 2 years minimum)
• Comfortable supporting and training junior/new staff
• Haematology experience essential

The Role:
This is a highly focused Haematology-only position based in Lancashire, with an emphasis on blood film morphology review. No blood transfusion work involved, and no routine analyser work required. Ideal for an experienced BMS looking for a specialist morphology role within a stable, supportive team environment.
