Hunter AHP have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist to join the Clinical Pharmacy Services at a NHS Hospital in Devon.
Job Title: Rotational Specialist Pharmacist
Band: 7
Location: NHS – Devon
Hours: Up to 37.5 per week
Rate: £28 – £32 per hour (DOE)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Ongoing
Key Requirements:
Applicants must have previous hospital-based clinical pharmacy experience.
Main Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of Advanced Clinical Pharmacists and the Clinical Director of Pharmacy, you will:
Provide patient-centred clinical pharmacy services including medicines reconciliation, reviews, and safe discharge planning.
Support ward rounds, MDTs, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
Offer expert pharmaceutical advice to medical and nursing staff, patients, and carers.
Help drive medicines optimisation and antimicrobial stewardship.
Contribute to service development, audits, clinical governance, and local prescribing policies.
Use risk assessment tools, review formulary compliance, and respond to medicines-related queries.
Assist with public health initiatives and vaccination campaigns.
Engage in CPD, support peers, and work towards a Clinical Diploma and IP qualification if needed.
