Locum Band 7 – Clinical Pharmacist – NHS Oxfordshire

Hunter AHP are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Clinical Pharmacist to join a reputable NHS Hospital in Oxfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pharmacist with strong ward-based experience looking for a long-term, stable contract within a dynamic clinical setting.

Role Overview:
You will be working across a variety of clinical wards, playing a key role in supporting multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines. This role offers excellent exposure across different specialties, making it ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced hospital environments.

Key Details:

• Job Title: Locum Clinical Pharmacist
• Location: Oxfordshire (NHS Hospital)
• Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Contract Length: Minimum 6 months (ongoing thereafter)
• Pay Rate: £25 – £28 per hour (depending on experience)
• Payments: Weekly, every Friday

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy input across multiple hospital wards
• Undertake medicines reconciliation and clinical screening
• Support safe prescribing and medicines optimisation
• Liaise with doctors, nurses, and wider healthcare teams
• Offer expert advice on medication management and treatment plans

Requirements:

• Proven experience working across clinical wards within an NHS hospital
• Registered with the GPhC
• Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
• Ability to hit the ground running and work autonomously
