Job Title: Biomedical Scientist (Biochemistry) – Band 5/6
Location: Cheshire
Duration: ASAP – Ongoing (subject to extension)
Schedule: Monday – Sunday, 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: Competitive hourly rates per hour DOE (umbrella equivalent)

What You’ll Be Doing
Join our team as a Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry and contribute to high-quality diagnostic services. Your responsibilities will include:
Performing a wide range of clinical biochemistry tests using both automated and manual techniques
Operating, calibrating and maintaining biochemistry analysers
Adhering to strict quality control procedures and laboratory protocols
Validating, analysing and interpreting biochemical test results
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with UKAS and ISO standards
Participating in audits and supporting continuous service improvement
Requirements & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
NHS experience in a Biochemistry laboratory
Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems and protocols
Full-time availability (we are unable to provide sponsorship)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A passion for delivering high-quality laboratory services
Working Hours & Contract Duration
This role requires availability from Monday to Sunday, 37.5 hours per week. The contract is ongoing, with the potential for renewal based on performance and service needs.
