Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Community Occupational Therapist to join a supportive community service based in Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a rewarding role supporting adults in their own homes to maximise independence, safety, and quality of life.
The successful candidate will complete holistic Occupational Therapy assessments within the community, providing recommendations for equipment and adaptations, and supporting service users to remain safely and independently at home.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out community-based Occupational Therapy assessments
Provide appropriate equipment recommendations and home adaptations
Support service users to maximise independence and safety at home
Work with individuals in their own homes across the community
Manage an independent and varied caseload
Liaise with MDT members, carers, and external agencies where required
Requirements:
HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
Experience in community OT
Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptations
Experience working within clients’ homes
Ability to manage an independent caseload
Excellent communication and organisational skills
