Job Title: Independent Prescribing Pharmacist
Location: Suffolk – GP Surgery (on-site)
Duration: 3–6 month contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm 30 minutes lunch
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing, potential for extension
Rate of Pay: £35–£40 per hour
What You’ll Be Doing:
Join our team as an IP Pharmacist and play a key role in supporting medication management and patient care in a busy GP surgery. In this role, you will:
Conduct structured medication reviews
Prescribe medication within your clinical scope
Collaborate with GPs and the wider MDT to ensure safe and effective prescribing
Optimise therapeutic outcomes for patients
Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A current and valid GPhC registration
Independent Prescriber qualification
Primary care or GP surgery experience (preferred)
Excellent communication and patient-facing skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This is a full-time, on-site locum role, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. The contract is initially for 3–6 months, with the potential to extend.
