Locum Pharmacy Assistant – NHS Hospital – South Yorkshire – Band 3
Hunter AHP have a fantastic opportunity for a locum pharmacy assistant to join an NHS hospital in South Yorkshire. This is a Band 3 role within the outpatient dispensary, offering full-time hours and an ongoing contract.
The department is open to candidates from a community pharmacy background, provided they hold a minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in pharmacy services. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to gain or expand on their NHS experience in a busy hospital setting.
Duties will include:
Dispensing medication to outpatients under the supervision of a pharmacist
Labelling and preparing prescriptions accurately
Stock management and replenishment within the dispensary
Supporting patients with queries related to their medications
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment in line with NHS standards
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm (1 hour break)
Rate: £15 – £16 per hour (via umbrella)
Location: South Yorkshire
Setting: Outpatient dispensary
Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (essential)
Experience in community or hospital pharmacy
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
