Locum Band 6/7 Physiotherapists – Elderly Medical Escalation Wards | Surrey

Location: Surrey
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Duration: 4-month contract
Rate: £26 to $28 per hour (Umbrella Equivalent)
Start Date: ASAP

Hunter AHP are currently recruiting two experienced Band 6/7 Physiotherapists to join hospital in Surrey, supporting Elderly Medical Escalation Wards.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic inpatient team, playing a key role in facilitating patient flow, preventing delays, and supporting timely and safe hospital discharges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing and treating patients on elderly medical escalation wards.
• Supporting patient flow across the hospital by facilitating timely assessments and interventions.
• Planning and coordinating safe, effective discharges.
• Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, including medical, nursing and discharge planning teams.
• Delivering evidence-based rehabilitation to maximise patient independence and functional outcomes.
• Managing a varied inpatient caseload while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Requirements:

• HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
• Band 6 or Band 7 equivalent experience within UK inpatient services.
• Previous experience working with elderly medical patients or acute inpatient wards.
• Confident managing discharge planning and supporting hospital flow.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team working skills.
