Location: Remote working following initial induction in Dorchester, Dorset
Contract: 2–3 months initially, with potential to extend
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm with 1-hour lunch
Part-time: Minimum 4 days per week may be considered

Pay: Band 8a level – Band 8b candidates may also be considered
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to support an NHS service on an initial 2–3 month locum contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a predominantly remote position. The successful pharmacist will initially need to attend site in Dorchester, Dorset for approximately 1–2 weeks for induction and training, before moving to fully remote working. A Trust laptop will be provided.
The day-to-day workload will primarily involve:
Oncology prescription screening
Haematology prescription screening
Clinical verification of systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT)
Working alongside the wider oncology/haematology pharmacy team
Ensuring safe and appropriate prescribing in line with Trust protocols
GPhC-registered Pharmacist
Strong oncology and/or haematology pharmacy experience
Experience screening oncology/SACT prescriptions
BOPA SACT Passport highly desirable and will be given preference
Candidates without the BOPA Passport may still be considered depending on their oncology experience
Ideally operating at Band 8a level, although experienced Band 8b pharmacists are also welcome
This is an ASAP requirement, initially for 2–3 months, although there is a possibility of the contract continuing beyond this.
