A specialist private hospital in North West London is seeking a dedicated and compassionate CAMHS Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team on a permanent basis.

This 26-bed inpatient hospital provides specialist treatment for children and young people aged 8–18 years with complex mental and physical health needs, including disordered eating and Eating Disorders. The service offers a therapeutic and recovery-focused environment where young people receive highly specialised, evidence-based care from an experienced MDT.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting young people through meaningful therapeutic interventions that promote independence, emotional regulation, daily living skills, and positive engagement in recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions to children and adolescents within an inpatient CAMHS setting

  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to each young person’s needs

  • Facilitate therapeutic groups and one-to-one interventions

  • Support young people with emotional regulation, sensory needs, daily living skills, routine development, and community reintegration

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, dietitians, and therapists

  • Contribute to discharge planning and ongoing risk management

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards

Requirements

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist

  • Experience working within CAMHS, mental health, Eating Disorders, or inpatient settings

  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health presentations

  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills

  • Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
