Hunter Gatherer AHP are recruiting for an experienced Locum Children’s Occupational Therapist to join a community-based children’s service in South London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with experience working within children’s services to manage a varied caseload and support children and young people with a range of functional difficulties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing assessments, providing intervention, and working collaboratively with families, schools, and wider multidisciplinary teams to support children’s independence and participation.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a caseload of children with varied functional difficulties.
Completing Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNA).
Working with children with a range of diagnoses, including Autism, ADHD, and Cerebral Palsy.
Using CO-OP and coaching approaches to support therapeutic intervention.
Providing evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
Working collaboratively with families, education settings, and multidisciplinary professionals.
Requirements:
Previous experience within community children’s occupational therapy.
Experience managing a paediatric caseload.
Experience completing EHCNA assessments.
Experience working with a range of diagnoses, including Autism, ADHD, and Cerebral Palsy.
Experience using CO-OP and coaching approaches.
Must be a manual car driver or have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
