IP Pharmacist – GP Surgery – Audits – Remote

Are you an IP Pharmacist with quality Improvement / audit experience, looking for a rewarding locum role in East London? 

• Job Title: Quality Improvement/Audit Pharmacist
• Location: East London (1st week on-site, then remote)
• Duration: 1 month initially (likely extension)
• Schedule: Thursdays required (clinics run Mon–Wed)
• Working Hours: 5 hours per week (e.g. 9am–2pm or 2pm–6:30pm)

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join a GP surgery and play a key role in driving quality improvement across clinical services. In this role, you will:

• conduct audits on clinical work carried out within GP clinics
• review consultations to assess clinical appropriateness and best practice
• analyse patient management decisions and identify areas for improvement
• support quality improvement (QI) initiatives and service development
• provide feedback and recommendations to enhance clinical standards
• work independently using EMIS to review and audit patient records

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• to be a qualified Pharmacist (GPhC registered)
• strong experience in primary care / GP surgery settings
• experience supervising or mentoring other pharmacists
• previous clinic-based experience with strong clinical knowledge
• experience in audits, QI, or performance management
• EMIS experience (essential)
• access to your own laptop (essential)
• Independent Prescriber qualification (desirable, not essential)

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This is a flexible, part-time role requiring 5 hours per week on Thursdays only, aligning with clinic review timelines. The role begins with an on-site induction in week 1 (Wednesday), before transitioning to fully remote working. The contract is initially for 1 month, with a strong likelihood of extension.
