Hunter Gatherer AHP are currently recruiting for a Locum Band 4 Therapy Assistant to join a new and developing therapy service in Cheshire.
This exciting service is focused on supporting early discharge from hospital, helping patients regain their independence and confidence more quickly in the comfort of their own homes.
You will work as part of a forward-thinking and evolving therapy service, supporting patients as they transition from hospital back into the community. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience within a developing service and work closely alongside qualified therapy professionals.
Supporting patients following discharge from hospital
Helping patients regain independence within their own homes
Delivering rehabilitation programmes under the guidance of qualified therapists
Supporting functional assessments and treatment plans
Encouraging independence and promoting patient-centred care
Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Managing and documenting patient progress appropriately
This is a forward-thinking and evolving therapy service offering a wide range of development and progression opportunities, from Therapy Assistant roles through to more advanced clinical specialist positions.
Previous experience working as a Therapy Assistant or Rehabilitation Assistant
Experience within a healthcare, rehabilitation, community, or hospital setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Full-time availability
