Hunter Gatherer AHP are currently recruiting for an experienced Mental Health Pharmacist to join a private mental health service in Newcastle for an immediate start.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with a strong background in mental health to work across multiple clinical sites, supporting patients with complex mental health needs.
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Pay Rate: £35–£40 per hour (Umbrella, DOE)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3 months initially
Working Days: 3–4 days per week
Working Hours: 9:00am–5:00pm
Setting: Private Mental Health Service
Travel: Must be a car driver due to working across multiple sites
Conduct clinical medication reviews for patients with mental health conditions.
Support medicines optimisation across mental health services.
Provide specialist advice on psychotropic medications, including antipsychotics, antidepressants and mood stabilisers.
Monitor medication safety, side effects and treatment effectiveness.
Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses and wider multidisciplinary teams.
Support safe prescribing practices and medicines management.
Provide pharmaceutical advice and guidance to clinical teams.
GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
Previous experience working within mental health pharmacy services.
Strong clinical knowledge of psychiatric medications and mental health treatment pathways.
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
Available to start at short notice.
