Outpatient Pharmacist – Central Birmingham

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Outpatient Pharmacist to join a busy pharmacy service in Central Birmingham on an ongoing locum basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking for consistent hospital-based work, with 4–5 days per week available and a strong likelihood of the contract extending beyond the initial month.

? Location: Central Birmingham
? Pay: £25–£30 per hour via Umbrella
? Start: ASAP
? Days: 4–5 days per week
? Contract: Minimum 1 month, with a strong likelihood of extension
? Level: Band 7

The Role

You’ll be working as part of the outpatient pharmacy team, with responsibilities including:

• Clinical screening of outpatient prescriptions
• Dispensing and accuracy checking
• Medicines optimisation
• Dealing with medication and prescription queries
• Providing pharmaceutical advice to patients and healthcare professionals
• Liaising with prescribers and wider clinical teams
• Ensuring prescriptions are processed safely and efficiently
• Supporting the general day-to-day running of the outpatient pharmacy service

Previous hospital or outpatient pharmacy experience would be highly desirable. However, experienced community pharmacists looking to transition into a hospital environment will also be considered.

The service is looking to secure someone quickly, so immediate availability is strongly preferred.
